The Panasonic TC-P42S1 TV is part of the VIERA series that uses the latest Neo PDP display technology that delivers sharp images and superior details in any video application. This Plasma TV also features one of the best viewing angle and color accuracy performances in the Plasma TV category. Get full High Definition picture quality with this Panasonic TV that also features VIERA Image Viewer and Link capabilities and adds convenience and versatility to the TV’s performance.

A Plasma PDP screen powers this TV’s display. The screen has a 1080p native display format that delivers full HD video quality, perfect for playing Blu-ray movies, playing video games and the likes. The screen has a 16:9 widescreen image aspect ratio with four available modes – Full, Just, Zoom and Normal modes. The screen also incorporates an Anti-Reflective (AR) Filter that effectively limits glare and unnecessary light reflections for a crisper and sharper display. This advanced filter also helps produce an even and blotch-free display for a more accurate color and contrast performance. The edges of the screen show no flashlighting, even when viewing dark scenes and images. The panel life rates at 100000 hours.

The TV’s Dynamic Contrast ratio rates at 2000000:1 with an actual performance of 3900:1. The excellent contrast performance ensures consistent and sharp details in both shadow and highlight of any image or scene. It also ensures accurate skin tone display for a realistic image reproduction. The TV’s deep black and peak brightness levels sit at 0.09 cd/m2 and 400 cd/m2 respectively. The excellent deep black level is a common trait for many Plasma TVs.

Its color accuracy performance is one of its best features. It has solid color saturation and stunning contrast ratios that produce great pictures. The TV reproduces deep black levels and excellent shadow details that nearly rival the Pioneer’s Kuro models.

This Panasonic TV has a pixel orbiter that gradually shifts the images around the screen. This feature prevents temporary image retentions commonly called burn-ins. This Panasonic TV however lacks a Picture-in-Picture feature that allows users to view two video sources simultaneously. It also does not have the capability to freeze TV images temporarily, which is useful when catching phone numbers, for example.

Thanks to its viewing angle of 76 degrees, this TV allows you to view breathtaking images with rich, vivid colors in a wide angle in front of the TV. This performance ensures consistent video quality, no matter where you sit. Its black areas do not fade and colors retain its crispness. Images look beautiful from any angle since plasma TVs are self-illuminating. This is one of the TV’s best attributes.

The Panasonic TC-P42S1 is easy to use right out of the box, having adequate connectivity of three HDMI and two component-video inputs. There are two HDMI inputs on the back and a third on the side. Other back-panel connections include AV input with composite, S-Video and an RF input for antenna or cable. In addition to the HDMI ports and SD card slot, there is an optical digital audio output. The SD/SDHC memory slot supports playback of digital videos (JPEG format). This TV however, doesn’t have an Ethernet port for its VIERA Cast feature.

Its new design looks similar to the old models, despite its more rounded corners and edges. This TV sports the invisible speaker design system with audio coming from the bottom of the panel. Each speaker rates at 10 watts for a total audio output power of 20 watts. The glossy black covers the entire frame, adorned with a slim strip of silver shaped to follow the curved bottom edge of the panel. The TV’s overall aesthetic is stylish and sleek. This TV can easily compliment any room or office design.

The remote is similar to its previous models, but not as good. The tiny VIERA Link, VIERA Tools and SD Card keys are above the central cursor control and look unnecessary. The button designers place each key in an area where users won’t access frequently. The keys’ size, color and shape can help the user differentiate each function.

On the other hand, the new VIERA Tools user interface on the remote control allows an easy access of the photos or movies from the menu screen. The VIERA S1 Series includes VIERA Link and VIERA Image Viewer features that provide convenience and versatility to the TV’s performance.

The VIERA Link connects your TV with a compatible Panasonic DVD recorder, Blu-ray Disc player, home theatre sound system and HD camcorder using a single remote. It is a special feature that allows you to operate several AV devices conveniently, using the TV’s remote control. The VIERA Image Viewer, on the other hand, offers easy to watch full HD images using the SD/SDHC card slot. This slot, found on the left side, accepts SD cards with digital images. Sharing of digital photos directly from SD cards is also a breeze with this VIERA feature. Simply shoot still and motion images with a digital camera or HD camcorder; then, enjoy high resolution, full HD photos and videos with superb image quality and vivid colors on big screen. This VIERA also features an intuitive interface for easy navigation.

The TV’s dimensions are 40.6 x 12.9 x 28 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs approximately 60 lbs with its stand attached. This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV consumes approximately 485-watts in operational mode and less than 0.3-watts in standby mode. Its operational power consumption is not as impressive as LCD or LED TVs of the same size. Plasma TVs naturally consume more power in operation than their LCD TV counterparts do.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Sony KDL-40S5100 LCD TV. The Sony TV offers an identical 1080p native display format, but a smaller 40-inch screen. The Sony TV’s deep black level is inferior, at 0.12 cd/m2 but its peak brightness is better at 450 cd/m2. Both TVs offer the identical color accuracy performance and connectivity options. The Sony TV has a far narrower viewing angle of 40-degrees, compared to Panasonic’s 76-degrees.

Get the perfect living room or bedroom TV with the Panasonic TC-P42S1 Plasma TV. Its excellent viewing angle performance ensures consistent color accuracy and video quality in a wide range of angles in front of the screen making it a perfect medium-sized room TV. Its VIERA features and its stylish design deliver a perfect TV that offers convenience without sacrificing its aesthetic value. This is one of the best Plasma TVs in the market.

The Samsung PN58B550 TV offers crisp and vivid picture quality perfect for watching Blu-ray movies and sport telecasts with its 58-inch screen and excellent color accuracy performance. This Samsung TV uses the latest e-panel technology that produces sharper images in any movie application. Other features include Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology and Samsung’s Touch of Color design.

A Plasma PDP screen powers this TV’s display. The 58-inch screen has a native 1080p display format that offers full High Definition (HD) video quality. The screen uses Samsung’s e-panel technology that offers crisp and sharp images for superior video quality. The screen also has a FilterBright component that limits glare and reflections for optimum viewing performance. The screen offers a uniform and error-free display. There are no blotches or unevenness across the screen. There is slight flashlighting at the edges when viewing dark images and scenes but not significant enough to affect the TV’s display performance. This TV has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio with four modes – Zoom, Wide Zoom, Zoom 16:9 and Conventional 4:3 modes.

The TV’s contrast rates at 2000000:1 with an actual performance of 2300:1. This is an above average contrast performance for a Plasma TV. This performance ensures crisp and clear details in both shadow and highlight of any scene. The TV’s deep black level sets at 0.10 cd/m2. Its excellent deep black property is common among Plasma TVs. This quality gives the TV the capability to render excellent black and dark images without looking washed out or greyish. The TV’s peak brightness level sets at 340 cd/m2. Other high-end TVs, especially LCD TVs, offer peak brightness levels as high as 450 cd/m2 and above.

Color accuracy is one of the TV’s best attributes. This TV produces vivid colors that are uniform and error-free. Color transition along the edges of an image remains smooth, even for moving subjects. This TV also has Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer 2 feature that provides a wide range of color palate for life-like images. This feature also limits error in the color reproduction system for a more accurate color performance.

This Samsung TV’s viewing angle rates at 88 degrees with an actual performance of 72 degrees. This wide viewing angle performance is a common factor on most Plasma panel TVs. The wide effective viewing angle performance ensures consistent video quality and color accuracy performance on a wide angle in front of the TV’s screen. The TV’s huge screen and wide effective viewing angle makes it an ideal TV for a large room or office application.

The TV has a 600 Hz subfield rate and a screen response time of 0.001-millisecond. This is one of the TV’s best attributes. The fast refresh rate provides seamless scene transition with no noticeable judders or motion blurriness. The fast refresh rate makes it ideal for watching fast action clips or sports broadcasts.

The Samsung PN58B550 is an HDTV-ready television set with built-in Digital (QAM, ATSC) and Analog (NTSC) TV tuners. This TV also has HDMI, Component and Composite video interfaces. This TV supports 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i resolutions that are common for HDTV broadcasts. The TV’s video reproduction system converts these formats for display on the TV’s 1080p screen. There are no errors or artifacting in the conversion and display of these lower resolution signals.

The TV’s audio is thru the built-in speakers mounted at the left and right side of the panel using an invisible speaker design system. Each speaker rates at 10 watts for a total audio output power of 20 watts. The audio output is in stereo mode with SRS TruSurround HD feature for a surround sound effect. There are basic controls for Bass, Treble and Balance available in the TV’s Audio menu. There is also a five-band equalizer in the Audio menu for users to set the TV’s audio according to their preference. This Samsung TV also has an Auto Volume Adjustment feature that limits the sound inconsistency between programming.

This Samsung TV offers a decent amount of connectivity options to cater to most of your needs. The ports sit at the side and rear of the device. At the side of the panel, there are one HDMI (Type A), one Composite video/audio input (RCA phono) and one USB (Type A) ports. At the rear, there are three HDMI (Type A), one VGA input (HD D-Sub), two Component video input (RCA phono), three Audio line-in (RCA phono), one Audio line-out (RCA phono), one Digital audio output (optical – TOSLINK) and one Audio line-in (Mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm) ports. The TV’s USB port supports playback of digital videos, music and photos stored in thumb drives. The computer display port supports 640 x 350, 720 x 400, 1360 x 768, 1440 x 900, 1920 x 1080, 640 x 480 (VGA), 1024 x 768 (XGA), 800 x 600 (SVGA) and 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) resolutions.

The TV’s dimensions are 60.2 x 2.9 x 36.7 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs approximately 134 lbs with its stand attached. This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. The package comes with a swivel stand and a universal remote control. The TV’s remote is easy to use and navigate. It fits perfectly to the contours of the hand and the buttons are evenly spaced for easy access.

The stand’s crystal pole that connects the panel to the stand looks unique and stylish. This TV also makes use of Samsung’s Touch of Color feature that incorporates a tint of Grey to the otherwise ordinary glossy black panel. The TV’s ultra slim panel and Touch of Color feature gives it an elegant and sophisticated look that will enable the TV to complement any room design or architecture.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Panasonic TC-P50G10 Plasma TV. The Panasonic TV offers an identical 1080p native display format but a smaller 50-inch screen. Both TVs offer an identical contrast, deep black and peak brightness performances. The Samsung TV has a better color accuracy performance than the Panasonic TV. The Panasonic TV however, provides more versatile connectivity options with its built-in SD/SDHC memory slot that the Samsung TV doesn’t have. Viewing angle performances are identical between the TVs.

The Samsung PN58B550 Plasma TV is the perfect centerpiece for any home entertainment system. The TV’s excellent color accuracy, contrast and viewing angle performances give it an excellent video quality perfect for any video application. Experience a new level of viewing experience with this Plasma TV.

The VIZIO M320VT LED TV is one of the latest TVs from the company that features the newest Razor LED Backlighting technology from VIZIO. This technology promises excellent video quality characterized by sharp images and life-like colors. This TV also offers SRS TruSurround and TruVolume features for outstanding audio output quality. Other features include excellent Dynamic Contrast ratio and decent connectivity options to cater to your needs.

A Razor LED display with Edge Light technology powers this TV’s display. Its 32-inch screen has a 1080p native display format that offers full High Definition (HD) video quality perfect for playing Blu-ray movies and the likes. The TV’s Razor LED display provides sharper images and deeper blacks for a better contrast performance. The TV’s display life rates at 30000 hours.

The TV’s Dynamic Contrast ratio rates at 50000:1 with an actual performance of 1700:1. Its deep black level sets at 0.24 cd/m2 and its peak brightness level sets at 320 cd/m2. The TV’s below average contrast performance is one of its weak attributes. The below average deep black level performance produces washed out blacks and details in shadows and dark images. The peak brightness level is average, and it provides crisp and sharp details in highlights of an image.

This VIZIO TV offers an above average color accuracy performance. There is no noticeable error or oversaturation in any of the major colors. Color transition along the edges of an image remains smooth and error-free even for moving subjects. Its color accuracy performance is one of its best attributes.

The TV’s viewing angle rates at 88-degrees with an effective viewing angle performance of 34-degrees. Most LCD TVs don’t have wide viewing angles, and this LED TV is not an exception. The narrow viewing angle performance limits this TV’s application to small-sized rooms or offices. Viewing images outside of the viewing angle range results to a significant drop in the TV’s contrast and color accuracy performances.

The TV’s 1920 x 1080 pixels provides up to 1.06 billion colors that enables the TV to render a wide color palate for life-like and more natural display. The TV’s Razor LED technology helps provide crisp and vibrant colors that brings out the best in any video display. This TV also has an Ambient Lighting adjustment feature that optimizes the TV’s contrast performance by adjusting the brightness of the screen according to the room’s ambient lighting automatically. This feature enables the TV to produce crisp and vibrant colors in any lighting environment.

Motion performance is below average with the TV’s 60-Hz refresh rate and eight-millisecond response time. Most high-end TVs offer up to 240-Hz refresh rates that are four times faster than this TV’s rate. The slow refresh rate causes judders and motion blurriness when watching fast action clips. This is one of the TV’s weakest performances.

The VIZIO M320VT TV is also an HDTV-ready television that features built-in Digital (QAM, ATSC) and Analog (NTSC) TV tuners. This TV also offers a decent amount of connectivity options to cater to most of your basic needs. All ports sit at the rear of the panel because of the TV’s slim profile. Available ports include four HDMI input, one RF Connector input, one Component Stereo Audio input, one Composite Video input, one RGB input (Computer input), one USB port and one SPDIF (Digital Optical) output ports. The TV’s USB port supports playback of digital music (MP3) and photos (JPEG) stored in thumb drives.

The TV’s audio is through its built-in speakers mounted at the bottom right and left side of the panel. Each speaker rates at 10-Watts for a total audio output power of 20-Watts. The TV’s audio has enough power to provide audible sound for a medium-sized room. Its audio power and performance are some of its best attributes. The TV’s audio output is in Stereo sound with SRS TruSurround HD feature for a surround sound effect. This TV also has an SRS TruVolume feature that limits sound inconsistency between programming. Balance, Bass and Treble controls are available in the TV’s audio menu.

The TV’s dimensions are 30.32 x 1.61 x 19.33 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs approximately 26 lbs with its stand attached. This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV consumes about 63 Watts in operational mode and less than 1 Watt in standby mode. VIZIO’s ECO HD feature gives it excellent power efficiency performance that offers up to 30% more savings on energy consumption, compared to other LCD TVs of the same screen size. Its above average color performance with its Mercury-free LED manufacture and operation shows the company’s commitment in providing environmentally-friendly TVs without sacrificing quality. This TV also comes with a swivel stand and a universal remote control (VUR14).

One of this TV’s best features is its ultra slim panel. The TV’s 1.61-inch thickness makes it one of the slimmest TVs in the market. Its razor-thin design with its glossy black finish gives this TV an elegant and sleek look. This TV can easily complement any room design or architecture.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Samsung LN32B360 LCD TV. The Samsung TV offers an identical 32-inch screen but with a lower 720p native display resolution. The Samsung TV offers better deep black and peak brightness levels with its 0.09 cd/m2 and 450 cd/m2 levels respectively. Its above average performances in both attributes give the TV a better contrast performance of 4300:1 for sharper details in both shadow and highlight of any image. Both TVs have identical color accuracy performance. The Samsung TV has a better viewing angle performance of 44-degrees, compared to VIZIO’s 34-degrees. The Samsung TV also has a better motion performance that lessens judder and motion blurriness in fast clips effectively. The VIZIO TV however, offers more connectivity options with four HDMI ports and a USB port, compared to Samsung’s two HDMI ports and no USB port.

The VIZIO M320VT is a perfect TV for a small room or office application. Accessorize a small room with this LED TV that features top performance, excellent color accuracy and a sleek and razor-thin panel all packaged in an affordable price range. This LED TV offers full HD video quality perfect for a bedroom or small office television.

The Samsung UN55B6000 LED TV redefines TV performance with its ultra slim look, outstanding picture quality and decent connectivity options. This TV also offers a high Dynamic Contrast ratio, giving deeper black levels for crisper images and displays. Its groundbreaking LED technology enables this TV to provide excellent color accuracy performance, and provides it with its slim profile. Additional features like Samsung’s InfoLink RSS service, Auto Motion Plus and Touch of Color design provide seamless performance while maintaining an attractive profile.

An LED screen with Edge Light Backlight technology powers this TV’s display. The screen has a 1080p native display format that delivers full High Definition (HD) video quality perfect for playing Blu-ray videos or game consoles. This TV uses an Ultra Clear Panel advanced LCD technology that displays crisp details while maintaining natural skin tones and shadow details for a more natural look.

The TV’s Dynamic Contrast ratio rates at 3000000:1 with an actual performance of 3200:1. Its excellent contrast performance enables the TV to deliver crisp details in both shadow and highlight of any scene. The TV’s superior deep black and peak brightness levels contribute to its contrast performance. The TV’s deep black level sets at 0.09 cd/m2 and its peak brightness level at 350 cd/m2.

Its Color accuracy is one of its best attributes. The TV’s color reproduction system delivers vivid and crisp colors with no oversaturation or error. Color transition along the edges of an image remains smooth even for moving subjects. Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer Pro feature offers a wider color palette for excellent color performance that renders life-like images in any movie application.

The TV’s breakthrough technology in its LCD design provides outstanding picture quality by delivering deeper black levels while maintaining crisp details in whites and other highlights. This provides consistent picture quality performance in any room lighting.

This TV also has a Game Mode that enhances the TV’s motion and color accuracy performance to deliver stunning graphics when playing your favorite game console.

The TV’s motion performance is average with its 120-Hz refresh rate and 4-millisecond response time. Most high-end TVs offer up to 240-Hz refresh rates that are two times faster than this TV’s rate. Samsung’s Auto Motion Plus technology however, makes up for the average refresh rate to deliver smooth and seamless scene transitions. There is no noticeable judder or blurriness even in fast action clips.

The TV’s viewing angle rates at 88-degrees with an effective viewing angle performance of 44-degrees. The narrow viewing angle of this TV is one of its disadvantages. Viewing images outside of the effective viewing angle causes a significant drop in the TV’s color and contrast performance. Most LCD TVs share the same disadvantage.

The Samsung UN55B6000 TV is also HDTV-ready with Closed Caption capability. It has a Picture-in-Picture (PIP) feature that allows viewers to display two video sources on the screen simultaneously. It has HDMI and Component video interfaces, as well.

Audio output is thru the TV’s internal speakers mounted at the left and right side of the device. Each speaker rates at 10 watts for a total audio output power of 20 watts. The audio output is in Stereo format with SRS TruSurround HD feature for a surround sound effect. There are also basic controls for Bass, Balance and Treble in the TV’s Audio menu.

This TV offers a decent amount of connectivity options enough to cater to most consumer needs. Connectivity options available include four HDMI (Type A), one Component video input (RCA phono), two USB 2.0, one Ethernet (RJ-45), one Digital audio output (optical – TOSLINK) and one VGA input (HD D-Sub) ports. The two USB ports sit at the side of the panel for easy access. The USB port supports playback of digital videos (MPEG), photos (JPEG) and audio (MP3) stored in thumb drives.

The TV’s dimensions are 51.6 x 1.2 x 32.1 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs approximately 60 lbs with its stand attached. This Samsung TV ships with a swivel stand and a universal remote control. This TV also features Samsung’s Touch of Color design that adds a tint of Red along the edges of the otherwise ordinary, glossy piano Black panel. The TV stand’s crystal neck gives the TV an elegant and stylish look that will easily complement any room design or architecture.

This TV is ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV has Samsung’s eco-friendly features that offer mercury-free LED modules for cleaner manufacturing and safer recycling. This TV offers up to 40% more savings on power consumption compared to other LCD TVs of the same screen size.

Additional features include Samsung’s InfoLink RSS service that provides the latest news, stocks, sports and weather updates with a click on the remote. This feature makes use of the TV’s Ethernet connection to get online updates. This TV also has Samsung’s Anynet Plus feature that allows users to control compatible AV devices that connect to the TV’s HDMI ports using the TV’s remote control.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Panasonic TC-P50G10 Plasma TV. The Panasonic TV with its Plasma technology offers a better deep black level of 0.05 cd/m2, which gives it a better capability in displaying dark and shadow scenes. Its peak brightness however, is significantly lower than the Samsung’s performance at only 250 cd/m2. Whites and other bright images will appear darker when viewed on the Panasonic TV, compared to the Samsung’s TV display. Color accuracy performance and connectivity options are identical between the two TV’s. The Panasonic TV offers a wider viewing angle performance of 70-degrees compared to Samsung’s 44-degrees.

Redefine your viewing experience with the Samsung UN55B6000 LED TV. This HDTV provides cutting-edge video quality and performance that gives extra value to your ordinary movie experience. Its smooth motion and unparalleled color accuracy and contrast performances coupled with its sleek and elegant look makes this TV a perfect centerpiece for any home entertainment system. Samsung’s Anynet Plus and InfoLink RSS services provide convenience at your fingertips.

The Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 LCD TV features excellent video quality and color reproduction system that delivers full High Definition display, perfect for playing Blu-ray movies and the likes. The TV’s Dynamic Contrast ratio delivers superior performance in image processing to provide deep blacks for sharper details, even in dark images or scenes. Other features include Sony’s Motionflow technology, BRAVIA Link and BRAVIA Sync capabilities.

A TFT Active Matrix screen with Wide Color Gamut CCFL technology powers this TV’s display. The screen has a 1080p native display format that offers full HD video quality. It has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio with four available modes – Full, Zoom, Normal and Wide Zoom modes. The screen offers a uniform and even display in any video application.

This TV offers an excellent contrast ratio performance that delivers crisp details in both shadow and highlight of any image. Its Dynamic contrast ratio rates at 50000:1 with an actual performance of 4200:1. The TV’s excellent deep black and peak brightness levels contribute to its above average contrast performance. Its deep black and peak brightness levels sit at 0.11 cd/m2 and 3900 cd/m2 respectively. The TV’s outstanding deep black level is one of the best in the LCD TV category.

The TV’s color accuracy performance is one of its best features. This TV uses Sony’s BRAVIA Engine 2 digital video processor to deliver crisp and life-like images all the time. There is no noticeable oversaturation in any of the major colors. Color transition along the edges of an image remains smooth and error-free even for moving subjects. The BRAVIA Engine 2 processor uses several Sony features to enhance each scene producing sharp and vibrant images with less noise.

The TV’s motion performance is above average with its Motionflow 120 Hz refresh rate. Most high-end TVs offer refresh rates of up to 240 Hz, which is twice the speed of this TV’s rate. Sony’s Motionflow technology however, offers seamless performance that effectively eliminates judders and motion blurriness in fast action clips. This system delivers smooth and fluid motion during scene transition for a more natural and realistic viewing experience.

The TV’s viewing angle performance rates at 88-degrees with an effective viewing angle performance of 38 degrees. This is one of the TV’s main disadvantages. Most LCD TVs have narrow viewing angles, and this Sony LCD TV is no exception. The narrow viewing angle of this TV limits its application to medium-sized rooms or offices only. Viewing images outside of the effective viewing angle results to a significant drop in the TV’s contrast and color accuracy performances.

The Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 has built-in Digital (QAM, ATSC) and Analog (NTSC) TV tuners. This is also an HDTV-ready television set that has Parental Lock and Closed Caption capabilities. This TV is compatible with 480/60i, 480/60p, 720/60p, 1080/24p, 1080/60i and 1080/60p display formats other than its 1080p native display format. These signals are common for HDTV and regular TV broadcasts. The TV’s system converts these signals for display on the 1080p screen. There are no noticeable judders or artifacting in the conversion and display of these lower resolution signals. This TV also has HDMI, S-Video, Component and Composite video interfaces.

The TV’s audio is thru the built-in speakers mounted at the left and right side of the panel using an invisible speaker design system. Each speaker rates at 10 watts for a total audio power output of 20 watts. The TV’s audio output has an SRS TruSurround XT feature that provides surround sound effect for a more immersive sound system. It also has an Auto Volume Adjust feature that helps limit audio inconsistency between programming. This TV also has basic Treble, Bass, Balance and Sound Mode controls in its Audio menu.

This Sony TV also offers a decent amount of connectivity options to cater to most consumer needs. Its ports sit at the side and rear of the device. At the side of the device there are two Audio line-in (RCA phono), one Composite video input (RCA phono), three HDMI input (HDMI Type A), one VGA input (HD D-Sub), one Audio line-in (Mini-phone stereo), one S-Video input (mini-DIN) and one USB 2.0 ports. At the rear of the panel, there are three Audio line-in (RCA phono), one Audio line-out (RCA phono), two Component video input (RCA phono), one Composite video input (RCA phono), one Digital audio output (optical) and one HDMI input (HDMI Type A) ports. The TV’s USB port supports digital playback of audio (MP3) and photo (JPEG) stored in thumb drives.

Additional features include Sony’s BRAVIA Link and BRAVIA Sync capabilities. The Sony BRAVIA Link feature allows the TV to expand its capabilities by connecting to optional BRAVIA Link modules BRAVIA DVD Link, BRAVIA Wireless Link and the likes. The BRAVIA Sync, on the other hand, lets users control compatible AV devices such as camcorders, DVD players and other home entertainment systems that connect to the TV’s HDMI ports, using the TV’s remote control. This Sony TV also has Light Sensor technology that adjusts the TV’s brightness according to the room’s ambient light automatically. This feature optimizes the TV’s contrast and color accuracy performance in any room lighting condition.

The TV’s dimensions are 49.6 x 4.5 x 32.4 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs approximately 76 lbs with its stand attached. The panel has a simple piano black panel. The panel’s glossy black finish and elegant stand gives it a clean yet sleek look. The package ships with a swivel stand and Sony’s universal infrared remote control (Sony RM-YD028).

This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV consumes about 295 Watts in operational mode and less than 1 Watt in standby mode. The TV’s power efficiency is not one of its best features. This TV has a good power efficiency performance, but most high-end TVs of the same screen size outperform it in this category.

One of its main competitors in its category is the VIZIO VF550XVT LCD TV. The VIZIO TV offers an identical 1080p native display format, but a larger 55-inch screen, compared to the Sony’s 52-inch screen. The VIZIO TV’s contrast performance is less impressive compared to Sony’s excellent performance. The Sony TV also offers a better color performance than the VIZIO TV. The VIZIO TV however, has a better motion performance between the two TVs. Both TVs have 120-Hz refresh rate systems but VIZIO’s display is smoother compared to Sony’s performance. Both TVs have identical viewing angle performances and connectivity options.

Experience full HD quality in all your video applications with the Sony BRAVIA KDL-52V5100 LCD TV. Sony’s BRAVIA 2 Engine delivers crisp and life-like images with vibrant colors in any scene with less noise and enhanced overall image detail. Its Motionflow technology, BRAVIA Link and BRAVIA Sync capabilities provide it with excellent video performance while maintaining ease of use.

The Sony BRAVIA KDL-46EX400 LCD TV delivers full HD quality with its 1080p native resolution display. Incredible contrast and sharp images provide top quality pictures that are perfect for any video application. This TV also features Sony’s LightSensor technology, BRAVIA Sync and decent amount of connectivity options to cater to all of your needs.

A TFT Active Matrix screen with Wide Color Gamut CCFL technology powers this TVs display. The TV’s 1080p native display format offers full HD video quality that plays Blu-ray movies and HD videos perfectly. The 46-inch screen has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio with five modes – Full, Auto Wide, Zoom, Wide Zoom and Conventional 4:3 modes.

The TV has a Dynamic Contrast ratio that rates at 140000:1 with an actual contrast performance of 4500:1. The TV’s excellent deep black and peak brightness levels contribute to its excellent contrast performance. The TV’s deep black and peak brightness performances sit at 0.10 cd/m2 and 480 cd/m2. Its outstanding deep black and peak brightness levels enable this TV to render sharp details in both shadow and highlight of any scene.

The TV’s color performance is one of its best attributes. This TV features BRAVIA Engine 2 technology that delivers life-like images in any scene. The superior color reproduction system with its Live Color technology doesn’t yield any error in any of the major colors. There is no oversaturation, and the color transition along the edges of any image remains smooth even for moving subjects. The screen has a uniform and blotch-free display. There is no flashlighting in the edges even when viewing dark scenes. This TV also offers three video modes with its Vivid, Standard and Custom modes.

The TV’s motion performance is one of its weak attributes. The TV’s refresh rate sit at 60-Hz. Most high-end TVs offer up to 240-Hz refresh rates, which is four times faster than this TV’s rate. There are noticeable judders and blurriness in fast action clips or films.

The TV’s viewing angle rates at 88-degrees with an actual performance of 40-degrees. This is an average performance for an LCD TV. Most LCD TVs have narrow viewing angle performance. LCD TVs have an average viewing angle range of 30 – 40 degrees. Watching images outside of the effective viewing angle causes a significant drop in the TV’s color and contrast accuracy performances.

This TV features Digital (QAM, ATSC) and Analog (NTSC) TV tuners. This TV also has a Picture-in-Picture (PIP) capability that allows users to view two video sources at the same time. It has HDMI, Component and Composite video interfaces. This HDTV ready television supports 480/60i, 480/60p, 720/60p, 1080/24p, 1080/60i and 1080/60p aside from its native 1080p display format. These formats are common for HDTV and regular TV broadcasts. The TV’s display system converts these formats for display on its 1080p screen. Conversion and display of these images results to slight motion blurriness and judders as the TV’s slow refresh rate copes with the conversion.

The TV’s audio system is through its built-in speakers mounted at the left and right side of the panel. Each speaker rates at 10 Watts for a total audio output power of 20 Watts. The speakers sit at the sides, using an invisible speaker design system. The TV’s audio has Sony’s SteadySound auto volume feature that limits sound inconsistency between programming.

This TV has a decent amount of connectivity options. The ports sit at the side and rear of the device. At the side of the device, there are one Audio line-in (RCA phono), one Composite video input (RCA phono), two HDMI (Type A) and one USB 2.0 (four-pin USB Type A) ports. At the rear of the device there are three Audio line-in (RCA phono), one Audio line-out (RCA phono), two Component video input (RCA phono), one Digital audio output (optical – TOSLINK ), one VGA input (HD D-Sub), one Audio line-in (Mini-phone stereo), two HDMI (HDMI Type A) and one Composite video input (RCA phono) ports. The TV’s USB port supports playback of digital videos (MPEG-1 and MPEG-2), photos (JPEG) and music (MP3) stored in thumb drives.

Additional features include Sony’s Ambient Sensor, LightSensor technology and BRAVIA Sync. Sony’s Ambient Sensor enables this TV to adjust the picture color automatically, depending on the ambient light. The LightSensor feature increases or decreases the screen’s brightness according to the ambient room light automatically. Both features ensure crisp pictures with sharp details and life-like colors all the time. The BRAVIA Sync feature enables the user to control compatible devices connected to the TV’s HDMI ports using the TV’s remote. Conveniently control your compatible Blu-ray devices, camcorders and other home entertainment devices using the BRAVIA remote.

The TV’s dimensions are 44.5 x 4 x 26.5 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs about 45 lbs with the stand attached. The package comes with a swivel stand and an infrared remote control (Sony RM-YD035). This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV consumes about 249 Watts in operational mode and less than 0.23 Watts in standby mode.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Samsung UN46B8500 LCD TV. The Samsung TV offers an identical 1080p native display format and 46-inch display screen. The Samsung TV offers an identical deep black, peak brightness and contrast performances. The Samsung TV’s deep black and peak brightness levels sit at 0.11 cd/m2 and 460 cd/m2 and its contrast ratio is at 4200:1. Both TV offers an identical color accuracy and connectivity options. The Samsung TV however, has two USB ports compared to Sony’s one. The Samsung TV has a slightly wider effective viewing angle of 44-degrees, compared to Sony’s 40-degrees.

Get the best video quality with the Sony BRAVIA KDL-46EX400 LCD TV. Its large 46-inch screen with the BRAVIA Engine 2 picture reproduction system delivers crisp and life-like images consistently. The TV’s BRAVIA Sync, Ambient Sensor and LightSensor technologies provide superior quality image without sacrificing the TV’s aesthetics or functionality.

Get cinematic video experience with the Samsung PN63C550 HDTV. Its massive 63-inch screen, with its excellent contrast and color accuracy performances, offers full HD video quality perfect for playing Blu-ray movies and the likes. This TV also uses Samsung’s latest E-Panel screen technology that enhances the TV’s picture quality performance and reduces unnecessary glare. Some of its features include built-in tuners, Wide Color Enhancer and ENERGY STAR compliant system.

A Plasma PDP screen powers this TV’s display. The screen has a 1080p native display format that offers full High Definition (HD) video quality perfect for playing movies and game consoles. This Samsung TV also features the company’s latest E-Panel screen technology. This technology uses a FilterBright component that effectively reduces glare in any room lighting. This feature ensures optimum video quality with sharp details and excellent clarity in all video application.

The TV’s E-Panel technology also optimizes the TV’s motion performance and Mega Dynamic Contrast ratio to enhance the TV’s function in any fast action scenes and films.

The TV’s Dynamic Contrast ratio rates at 2000000:1 with an actual performance of 4900:1. The TV’s excellent deep black and peak brightness performances contribute to its above average contrast level. The TV’s deep black level sets at 0.07 cd/m2 and its peak brightness level is at 410 cd/m2. The TV’s excellent deep black level provides clear details in any shadow or dark scenes. Its peak brightness level however, is lower than performances of high-end LCD TVs, but it provides above average detail in highlights and other bright scenes.

The TV’s color performance is one of its best features. It produces vibrant images with no noticeable oversaturation in any of the major colors. Color transition along the edges of an image remains smooth even for moving subjects. Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer video processing system creates life-like images with sharp details in any video application. This TV also offers a Game mode that enhances the TV’s color accuracy and motion performance to deliver crisp and smooth cinematics and graphics when playing your favorite game console.

The Samsung PN63C550’s viewing angle rates at 88-degrees with an actual viewing angle performance of 74-degrees. Most Plasma TVs have wide viewing angle, and this TV is no exception. The wide viewing angle performance ensures consistent video quality and contrast levels in a wide angle in front of the screen. The TV’s wide viewing angle and 63-inch screen size makes this TV perfect for large room or office application.

This Samsung TV also offers excellent motion performance with its 600-Hz sub field drive. It also has a very fast screen response time of 0.001-millisecond. Its fast refresh rate and response time ensures smooth image transition even for fast action clips. There is no noticeable motion blurriness or judder when watching fast scenes.

This is also an HDTV ready television with built-in Digital (QAM, ATSC) and Analog (NTSC) TV tuners. This TV is compatible with 1080i, 720p and other lower resolution signals aside from its 1080p native display format. The TV’s video processing system converts these signals for display. There are no noticeable errors, judders or artifacting in the conversion and display of these lower resolution signals on the TV’s screen.

Audio output is thru the TV’s built-in speakers mounted at the bottom left and right side of the panel. Each speaker rates at 15-Watts for a total audio output power of 30-Watts. The TV’s audio has SRS TruSurround XT feature that provides 3D sound effect. The TV’s audio performance is average, compared to other high-end TVs.

This TV has a decent amount of ports, more than enough to cater to most consumer needs. The ports sit at the side and rear of the panel. Available ports include four HDMI, two Component Inputs, one Composite input (AV), one PC input (D-Dub), one PC audio input (mini jack), one Ethernet, one Optical Digital Audio output, one DVI audio input (mini jack) and one RF input ports.

One of its best features is its Wi-Fi ready system that provides wireless and clutter-free network connection. This feature provides video streaming capabilities, like playing computer data, straight to the TV’s screen. Wireless connection requires Samsung’s LinkStick wireless adapter that sells separately.

Additional features include AllShare (DLNA networking), Connect Share and Anynet capabilities. The AllShare feature enables the TV to wirelessly sync with laptops and other AV devices for instant playback of videos or pictures. The Connect Share feature, on the other hand, allows users to access camcorder videos and music libraries on the TV’s screen. The Anynet feature provides convenience by allowing users to control all compatible AV devices connected to the TV’s HDMI ports using the TV’s remote.

The TV’s dimensions are 59.1 x 2.8 x 35.2 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs approximately 98 lbs with its stand attached. This TV exceeds ENERGY STAR standards, giving it excellent power efficiency in both operational and standby modes.

The package also comes with a swivel stand and an infrared remote control. Samsung’s touch of Color feature adds a hint of Charcoal Grey color on its ordinary glossy black finish, giving the TV an elegant and sleek look.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Panasonic TC-P42X1 Plasma TV. The Panasonic TV offers a lower 720p native display format and a smaller 42-inch screen. The Panasonic TV offers an identical color accuracy, motion and contrast performance as the Samsung TV. The Panasonic TV offers a slightly wider viewing angle of 76-degrees, compared to Panasonic’s 74-degrees. Connectivity options are almost identical between the two TV’s with the Panasonic TV getting the upper hand with its SD/SDHC card slot that the Samsung TV doesn’t have.

Enhance your entertainment system with the Samsung’s PN63C550 63-inch Plasma TV. Its superior color accuracy and contrast performances deliver exceptional video quality that will immerse you with the action while watching. Its Touch of Color feature, AllShare and Anynet capabilities provide convenience and ease of use without sacrificing the TV’s aesthetic value. Top-notch quality at a reasonable price range makes this TV one of the best Plasma TVs in the market.

The VIZIO M261VP LED TV guarantees top quality video performance with its Razor LED technology. This TV offers full 1080p resolution that plays Blu-ray movies and High Definition videos perfectly. Additional features include excellent Dynamic Contrast ratio and built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection. Get news, sports, weather updates and other online content with VIZIO Internet Apps.

A TFT Active Matrix screen with Wide Color Gamut CCFL technology powers this TV’s display. The TV screen’s 1080p native display format offers 1920 x 1080 pixels that provide full HD video quality. The TV’s 26-inch screen displays videos uniformly and evenly. VIZIO’s Razor LED screen is blotch free with no noticeable flashlighting on the edges. The TV’s panel life rates at 50000 hours.

The TV’s contrast ratio rates at 100000:1, and an actual performance of 1200:1. This performance is below average for an LED TV. The TV’s below average deep black level of 0.26 cd/m2 contributes to its low contrast performance. TVs need to have a deep black level of 0.20 cd/m2 or lower to provide sharp details in shadows and dark images. This TV’s weak deep black level renders washed out blacks in dark scenes. The TV’s peak brightness is above average at 400 cd/m2. This TV displays sharp and clear details in highlights of any scene.

The TV’s color accuracy performance is one of its best features. VIZIO Razor LED technology displays up to 16.7 million colors to provide lifelike and crisp images for a more natural look. This TV also has an Ambient Lighting feature that adjusts the TV’s brightness automatically according to the room’s lighting. This feature enables the TV to render sharp and crisp images in any ambient room condition.

The TV’s motion performance is below average with its 60-Hz refresh rate and 6-millisecond screen response time. Most high-end TVs offer up to 240-Hz refresh rate that is four times faster than this TV’s rate. Watching fast action clips with its slow response time results to motion blurriness and judders that negatively affects the TV’s performance.

This TV also offers a Gaming mode that enhances the TV’s contrast, color and motion performance to deliver sharp and fast cinematic when playing your favorite game console. There may be occasional judders and motion blurriness as the TV’s system copes with fast screen transitions.

The VIZIO TV’s viewing angle rates at 88-degrees with an actual performance of 44-degrees. This performance is above average for an LCD TV considering that most LCD TVs only offer a viewing angle range of 30 – 40-degrees. The TV’s Razor technology gives this TV its excellent viewing angle performance.

The VIZIO M261VP TV supports HDMI, Component and Composite video interfaces. This is also an HDTV-ready television with MTS Stereo Reception System and Secondary Audio Program (SAP) capability. This TV also supports 720p and other lower resolution video formats that are common for HDTV and regular TV broadcasts. The TV’s system converts these low-resolution formats for display on the 1080p screen. Conversion and display remain error-free and smooth.

The TV’s audio is thru the built-in speakers mounted at the left and right side of the device. Each speaker rates at five Watts for a total audio output power of ten Watts. There are basic controls for Bass, Treble and Balance available on the TV’s audio menu. Audio output is in Stereo mode with SRS TruSurround HD feature for a surround sound experience. This TV also has a TruVolume feature that limits sound inconsistency between programming.

This VIZIO TV has Digital (QAM, ATSC) and Analog (NTSC) TV tuners. Connectivity options include three HDMI (Type A), one USB (four-pin USB Type A), one VGA input (HD D-Sub), one Component video input (RCA phono), one Composite video input (RCA phono), one Audio input (RCA phono) and one Digital audio output (optical) ports. This TV offers a decent number of ports that can cater to most of your basic needs. One of the TV’s best features is its built-in Wireless-N Wi-Fi capability for easy and clutter-free internet connection.

VIZIO Internet Apps provide online content for this TV. Stream movies and TV shows, listen to your favorite music or get the latest news, sports and weather updates with the TV’s online content. Internet content includes Amazon Video, Netflix, Rhapsody, Twitter, VUDU, Yahoo TV Widgets and more.

One of the TV’s top competitors is the Samsung LN32B360 LCD TV. This Samsung TV offers a bigger 32-inch screen, but a lower resolution at 720p. This Samsung TV also offers HD video quality but it is not as sharp as the 1080p resolution the VIZIO TV offers. The Samsung TV has a better contrast performance at 4200:1 compared to VIZIO’s 1200:1. The Samsung TV’s deep black and peak brightness levels sets at 0.09 cd/m2 and 400 cd/m2 respectively. Both TVs offer identical color accuracy and connectivity options. The Samsung TV has a better motion performance with its faster refresh rate. The Samsung TV exhibits less judders and motion blurriness when watching fast action clips. The Samsung TV however, has a narrower viewing angle of 38-degrees compared to VIZIO’s 44-degrees. The VIZIO TV offers a better entertainment package with its online content that is not available in the Samsung TV.

The TV’s dimensions are 38.2 x 3.1 x 23.6 inches (W x D x H), and it weighs approximately 38 lbs with its stand attached. The package comes with a swivel stand and a universal remote control. This TV’s VR17 remote is stylish and presents easy control for all TV functions. This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV consumes about 31.3 Watts in operational mode and less than 1 Watt in standby mode. This TV’s ECO HD technology provides one of the best energy saving modes in the market.

This stylish and sleek TV offers excellent color and great features, making it a perfect TV for a small-size room of office. The TV’s Razor technology offers wide viewing angle and outstanding screen uniformity that delivers sharp and lifelike images consistently. Get the best of entertainment options with its decent online content and built-in Wi-Fi feature.

Experience Plasma TV technology at its best with the LG 60PK950 TV. This 60-inch TV features LG’s groundbreaking TV design and features to provide stylish look and excellent picture quality performance. This TV has the latest TruBlack Filter, broadband content and THX certification for top-notch contrast performance in any video application.

A Plasma PDP screen powers this TV’s display. Its 60-inch screen has a 1080p native display format that offers full High Definition quality perfect for Blu-ray movies or playing gaming consoles. The screen has a 16:9 widescreen mode with six available settings. This TV is part of LG’s INFINIA Series that features a TruBlack filter that enhances the TV’s contrast performance for better details in shadows. The TV’s lamp life rates at 100000 hours.

Plasma TVs have superior deep black performance, and this LG TV is no exemption. This TV has a deep black level of 0.08 cd/m2 that enables it to display crisp details in any shadow or dark scene. Its peak brightness level sets at 450 cd/m2, which is above average for a Plasma TV. The TV’s excellent deep black and peak brightness levels give it a contrast performance of 4900:1. The TV’s Dynamic Contrast Ratio rates at 5000000:1.

This LG TV also has an excellent video and color reproduction system. LG’s Dual XD Engine offers crisp and life-like images in any video application. The TV’s display is smooth and error-free. Color transition along the edges of an image remains smooth and crisp even for moving subjects. The TV’s 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution renders realistic colors all the time. Its THC certification ensures consistent color and display performance when playing any video format.

This TV also has LG’s Picture Wizard II that offers easy picture and display configuration. Its intuitive interface will help users configure the TV’s color, brightness and other settings easily. This TV also has three AV modes available with Sports, Cinema and Game modes. The Cinema mode is perfect for playing movies and the likes. The Sports and Game mode enhances the TV’s contrast, color accuracy and motion performances for faster and smoother action.

The TV’s display is also uniform and blotch-free. There is no oversaturation in any of the major colors. There is no flashlighting on the edges as well.

Motion performance is excellent with the TV’s 600 Hz subfield drive. Its fast refresh rate system creates smooth transition, even for fast action clips. There is no noticeable judder or motion blurriness, even for fast scene transitions. This performance makes this TV perfect for watching sports and action movies or playing games.

The TV’s viewing angle rates at 88-degrees with an effective viewing angle performance of 78-degrees. This wide viewing angle performance ensures crisp and error-free display on a wide angle in front of the TV. This is essential for a large TV when used in large rooms or offices.

The TV’s audio output is through its built-in speakers mounted at the left and right side of the device using an invisible speaker design system. Each speaker rates at 10-Watts for a total audio output power of 20-Watts. The output audio is in Stereo mode with Infinite Surround Sound feature for a surround sound effect. There is also a Clear Voice II feature that ensures crisp conversation audio even for scenes with loud background sound effects. This LG TV also has an Auto Volume Limiter II feature that limits sound inconsistency between programming. The TV’s overall audio performance is average. The audio output is clear and crisp although, the audio output power may not be strong enough for a large room application. Connecting the TV’s audio output to an external entertainment system will definitely maximize your viewing pleasure.

This TV also offers a decent amount of connectivity options. The ports sit at the side and rear of the device. At the side, it has one AV input, one HDMI and two USB ports. At the rear there are two Component Video input (with audio), one RF input, one AV input, one Digital Audio output, one RGB input (D-Sub), one PC audio input, one LAN, one RS-232c input (service use only) and three HDMI (HDCP with deep color) ports. The USB ports support playback of digital photos (JPEG), music (MPEG-4) and videos (DivX HD) stored in thumb drives.

One of its best amenities is its Wireless connection feature. This LG TV is Wi-Fi ready for wireless and clutter-free internet connection. Internet content is through LG’s Netcast Entertainment Access that offers a wide range of online content that includes Yahoo TV Widgets, Netflix, VUDU, YouTube, Picasa and more. Now you can stream videos, listen to your favorite song and watch the latest news or sports update straight to your TV’s screen. The TV’s wireless adapter sells separately.

The TV’s dimensions are 55.5 x 33.9 x 2 inches (W x H x D), and it weighs approximately 108.7 lbs with its stand attached. The TV looks sleek and elegant with its seamless design, translucent pole (connecting the base of the stand to the TV’s panel) and glossy piano-black finish. This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV consumes less than 0.1 Watts in standby mode.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Panasonic TC-P50G25 Plasma TV. The Panasonic TV offers an identical 1080p native display format but has a smaller 50-inch screen. The Panasonic TV offers an identical contrast, color accuracy and viewing angle performances. The Panasonic TV offers a better motion performance, while the LG TV has a better audio output. Connectivity options are almost identical. The Panasonic TV offers an SD/SDHC memory slot not present in the LG TV, while the LG TV has a Wi-Fi ready system that the Panasonic TV doesn’t have. The Panasonic TV costs about $800 less than the LG TV, but its screen is 10-inches smaller.

The LG 60PK950 offers one of the best performances in the Plasma category. Its TruBlack filter produces excellent contrast and color performances for all video applications consistently. Immerse yourself in the action with its large 60-inch screen and superior audio performance. The TV’s anti-glare and wide effective viewing angle performances produce uniform and crisp images in all video application. This LG TV is a perfect centerpiece for your home entertainment system.

The VIZIO E322VL 32-inch LCD TV offers the best of the web with its VIZIO Internet Apps that provides decent number online content users can play right to the TV’s screen. The TV’s Dynamic Contrast performance and 1080p native resolution deliver crisp and life-like images perfect for viewing HD movies or playing gaming consoles. This TV also offers VIZIO’s Ambient Lighting feature, Wi-Fi ready system and superior SRS TruVolume and TruSurround audio capabilities.

A TFT Active Matrix screen with Wide Color Gamut CCFL technology powers this TV’s display. The screen’s 1080p native display format delivers full HD video quality. The TV has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Its backlight life rates at 60000 hours.

The TV’s Dynamic Contrast ratio rates at 50000:1 with an actual performance of 2500:1. The TV’s satisfactory deep black and peak brightness performances contribute to its average contrast performance. Its deep black and peak brightness levels sit at 0.18 cd/m2 and 300 cd/m2 respectively. This TV has the ability to display clear details in both shadow and highlight of any image.

The TV’s 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution delivers life-like and natural colors easily. This is one of the TV’s best attributes. There are no errors in any of the major colors. The screen has an even and blotch-free display. Color transition on the edges of an image remains smooth and error-free even for moving subjects. There is however, flashlighting on the edges, especially when viewing dark scenes or backgrounds.

The TV’s motion performance is below average with its 60-Hz refresh rate and five-millisecond response time. Judders and motion blurriness in fast action clips are noticeable. Most high-end TVs offer up to 240-Hz refresh rates, which is four times faster than this TV’s rate.

This VIZIO TV’s viewing angle rates at 88-degrees with an effective viewing angle performance of 38-degrees. Most LCD TVs don’t have wide viewing angles, and this TV is no exception. The TV’s narrow viewing angle limits the TV’s application to small-sized rooms or offices. Viewing images outside of the TV’s effective viewing angle causes a significant drop in the TV’s contrast and color accuracy performances.

The VIZIO E322VL TV also has an Ambient Lighting feature that adjusts the screen’s brightness according to the ambient light of the room automatically. This feature ensures optimum contrast and color accuracy performances, regardless of the room’s lighting.

This TV has Digital (QAM, ATSC) and Analog (NTSC) TV tuners. This is also an HDTV-ready television set that supports 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i video formats. These formats are common for HDTV and regular TV broadcasts. The TV’s system converts these formats for display on the TV’s 1080p native screen. Conversion and display of lower resolution images cause little artifacting and ghosting; although they are not significant enough to negatively affect the TV’s performance.

The TV’s audio system is one of its best features. This TV has two built-in speakers mounted at the left and right side of the device using an invisible speaker design system. Each speaker rates at 10 Watts for a total audio output power of 20 Watts. The audio output has SRS TruVolume feature that limits audio inconsistency between programming. It also has an SRS TruSurround HD feature that produces a surround sound effect for a more immersive audio performance. The TV’s audio offers audible and crisp sound that has enough audio power for a medium-sized room.

Connectivity options are limited for this TV. Connectivity ports include three HDMI, one Ethernet, one Component video input, two Audio input, one USB, one SPDIF output, one VGA input, one Audio line-in and one Audio line-out jacks. The TV’s three HDMI ports will provide sufficient connectivity options for your Blu-ray, DVD players and other entertainment systems. There are however, limited component and composite ports to provide versatility in accommodating your other connection needs. The TV’s computer input supports 1920 x 1080, 1024 x 768, 800 x 600, 640 x 480 resolutions via RGB/HDMI port.

One of the TV’s best features is its built-in Wi-Fi for wireless internet connection. The TV’s 802.11N wireless networking capability offers easy and clutter-free internet connection. VIZIO’s Internet Apps (VIA) allows video streaming from your favorite online sites. Listen to your favorite music or get the latest news, weather and sports updates straight to your TV’s screen. Online content includes Amazon Video on Demand, Flickr, Netflix, Rhapsody, Twitter, VUDU and Yahoo Widgets. Launch your favorite online site with a click of a button on the remote.

This TV’s dimensions are 31.18 x 20.83 x 3.52 inches (W x H x D), and it weighs approximately 38 lbs with the stand attached. The package comes with a swivel stand and a universal (VIZIO VR17) remote control. The TV’s swivel stand provides easy and convenient access to the ports that sit at the rear. The infrared remote control is easy and convenient to use. It gives easy access and control to the TV’s functions and menu system. The remote’s ergonomic design gives it perfect fit and easy handling. The buttons are properly spaced for easy navigation.

This TV is also ENERGY STAR qualified, giving it power efficiency in both operational and standby modes. This TV consumes about 98.39 Watts in operational mode and less than 0.37 Watts in standby mode. VIZIO’s ECO HD feature gives it the capability to offer up to 25% more power savings, compared to other LCD TVs of the same screen size.

One of its main competitors in its category is the Samsung LN32B360 LCD TV. The Samsung TV offers an identical 32-inch screen, but a lower resolution 720p native display format. The Samsung TV has a better contrast performance of 4000:1 and better deep black and peak brightness levels of 0.09 cd/m2 and 400 cd/m2 respectively. The better contrast performance enables the Samsung TV to deliver superior details in blacks and highlights of any scene. Both TVs have identical color accuracy, motion and effective viewing angle performances. Both TVs also have identical connectivity options, and both sell at roughly the same price.

The stylish VIZIO E322VL TV is a perfect entry-level LCD TV that offers superior color performance at an affordable price. The TV’s full HD video quality and above average contrast performance provide life-like images and crisp details consistently. Immerse yourself while watching your favorite Blu-ray movie with the TV’s SRS TruVolume and TruSurround features. In addition, the TV’s slim design and glossy black finish gives it an elegant look that can easily complement any room design or architecture.
