Review
I’m glad this show finally came to DVD. I watched this show when it aired and missed a few episodes. I could not believe the show got canceled back then.
The show is full of action, spying, some good banter, and backstory on Gotham City and its villains. The show is set in New Gotham City, years after Batman abandoned it. Taking Batmans place is his daughter “Huntress” (played by the very beautiful actress Ashley Scott) and Oracle. In the first episode a newcomer joins the team, her name is Dinah. Later on we find out who she really is, and we get to watch her as she learns her new abilities and tries to fit in with Huntress and Oracle.
Huntress and Dinah are “Metahumans”, they are born with powers that cannot be explained, and no two metahumans have the same power, they keep underground, and it is not well know that they exist.
This show is pretty good. I think if it was given a full season run or two, it could of developed into something more.
If you love action you will love this show. Click the image at the top of the post to see a trailer, this is pretty much what the whole show is about. We do have character development between the main characters, as well as the bad guy “Dr. Quinzel” who is Jokers girlfriend. Her end goal is to run Gotham City, and throughout the series she is contantly wreaking havoc, whilst trying to ascertain the true identity of “The Huntress”.

Favorite Quotes -
Harleen: Never send a businessman to do a psychopath’s job.
Morton: Now, my chief says this guy doesn’t exist, that no serial killer would use such a wide variety of methods.
Reese: And what do you say?
Morton: I say this one does. That’s the problem with only looking for things you’ve already seen… it makes you blind to the stuff that’s right in front of your face.
Reese: Ha. Yeah, well, I hear you on that one, but you might just want to keep that opinion to yourself if you want to be taken seriously around these parts.
Morton: Ask me if I care.Reese: I told you to stay out of it.
Helena: Yeah, well, I forgot. Kinda egotistical to think you could take them on alone.
Reese: Ooh, says the lone vigilante.
Helena: I know you think that was supposed to be an insult, so I’ll go ahead and be offended.Street Thug: Can I have a second chance?
Hawke: Not unless you believe in reincarnation.(Holding a handful of diamonds)
Harleen: I could buy such pretty things with these. Guns, bombs, shoes. Planning the fashionable overthrow of a city is so expensive.Helena: Is this the part where you reveal your diabolical plan to kill me? Because I could care a little less if I put some effort into it.
Jesse: ‘Darkstrike’? Who comes up with these names?
Helena: He strikes after dark. It’s descriptive.Dinah: He’s evil.
Helena: Tell me about it. Look what he did to my favorite shirt.Huntress: Doesn’t look like we’re in Kansas anymore, Toto.
Oracle: I prefer to think of myself as the Wizard.
Video - 5/5
Looks good, the flashbacks look very good, the special effects are great, the action is sound, very few if any artifacts.
Audio - 5/5
Strong sound, good music, great sound effects, the music is apparently different than that which originally aired, but sounds fine.
Supplements - 4/5
Includes the internet webseries “Gotham Girls” which is close to 90 minutes, and the original un-aired pilot, which is almost 50. Check em out, they are worth watching.
Overall - 4/5
The show is fun, full of action, and doesn’t take itself to seriously. With that said, some of the characters do come off quite one-dimensional, I’m going to chalk that up to the show getting canceled, and them being pressed for time.
Overall Rating - 4/5 Stars

Story - 4/5
This show is fun, and very entertaining. I recommend it
Bottom Line?
Buy it. It’s fun, will keep you entertained, and give you some “girl power”. If you enjoy shows like Smallville, but would like to see more action, this is for you. The main character “Helena aka Huntress” loves to “punish” the bad guys by beating them into pulps. You also have some GREAT guest characters including Joe Flanigan from Stargate Atlantis.
